What is California Proposition 65? Do your stickers contain any chemicals on the Prop 65 list?
The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, as known as Proposition 65, is a California law that came into effect in 1986. The goal of Proposition 65 is to protect Californian residents and the environment from excessive exposure to hazardous substances including carcinogens and reproductive toxins.
To comply with Proposition 65, businesses are required to provide clear and reasonable warnings to individuals in the state of California before knowingly and intentionally exposing them to listed chemicals known to the state to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Our vinyl suppliers state that their products contain chemicals such as Lead, Lead Compounds, Vinyl Chloride, and Toluene, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
