Why was the physical size of my order changed?

When you order a sticker from us and you upload your own graphic, if you haven’t input the size of your sticker, the default size (typically 4” x 4”) will be entered for your order. Unless your sticker is intended to be exactly 4” x 4”, this size will be incorrect and will need to be adjusted.

This can be done in one of two ways. Either the graphic itself can be stretched or compressed to fit the listed size, or the size can be adjusted.

Adjusting the graphic

If we adjust the graphic, odds are that it will not look the way you desire for it to look. This problem is made worse the more the actual/intended size is different from the size listed on the order. For example, below is a graphic with the intended size being 2” high by 4” wide.

If the listed size on the order is 4” x 4”, the height would end up being twice as large as it should be, looking like this:

Obviously, the stretched graphic makes the artwork look worse, which is the main drawback of this solution.

Adjusting the size

The other way this issue can e resolved is to adjust the size listed on the order. The advantage of this is that the graphic won’t be stretched or compressed in any way. However, when the actual size of an order changes, the price will change as well. Sometimes this is to the advantage of the customer (meaning they will owe less money on the order) and they’ll get a refund, but other times the new size means that the customer will owe money on the order. If this happens on your order, for either case, our file processors will reach out to ensure that you’re informed about any price changes on your order.
